The day as it happens
Meals, naps, nappies and mood, posted by the people in the room. Parents read it on the commute home instead of asking at the door.
The parent app
Every log, photo and message reaches families the moment it happens, in an app branded as your nursery on your own domain. No WhatsApp group, no paper diary, no app store search.
Most nurseries end up running parent communication across four tools that were never built for it. Each one leaks something.
What parents see
Parents get one calm feed of their own child's day. Nothing about anyone else's child, and nothing they have to chase.
Meals, naps, nappies and mood, posted by the people in the room. Parents read it on the commute home instead of asking at the door.
Tagged photos follow the child, not the class. A parent keeps the whole album even after their child moves room or the teacher changes.
A parent messages their child's teachers or the office. Staff reply from the app, so nobody hands out a personal phone number.
Meals plan, curriculum, closures, trips and parents' evening. Parents stop asking what's on next week because it is already on their phone.
Parents request additional childcare hours straight from the calendar, so you can staff for them rather than discover them at pickup.
Parents maintain their own pickup list with names, ID and relationship. Nobody at the door has to guess who the grandmother is.
What it changes for you
A parent app is only worth having if it costs your staff less than the questions it removes.
Questions
No. Parents never pay for MyKita. The nursery pays one price that covers unlimited parents, teachers and admins, and there are no per-family charges or in-app purchases.
A WhatsApp group publishes staff phone numbers, shows every family a message meant for one child, and keeps no record you can hand to a parent later. MyKita scopes each conversation to a single child, keeps staff numbers private, and leaves the nursery holding the history rather than whoever happens to own the group.
Only that child's own parents. A parent sees every photo their child is tagged in, plus untagged group photos from their child's current class. Photos are stored in a private bucket belonging to that single nursery, and every image is served through a short-lived signed link rather than a public URL.
Nothing. Tagged photos follow the child permanently, so a parent keeps every photo their child appears in even years later. Only the untagged group photos are tied to the current class.
Days, not terms. We set up your nursery on its own domain with your branding, help import your children, classes and staff, and invite parents by email. There is no server to buy and nothing to install.
English, Arabic and German. Each parent picks their own language on their account, and it follows them across devices, so one nursery can have families reading in different languages at the same time. Arabic is fully right-to-left, not a translated left-to-right layout.
